Meet Our Staff
Our experienced staff is committed to nothing short of excellence.
Marjorie had her first facial at one of the first day spas in Oklahoma City, K. Boucher's Creme de la Creme, and was hooked! She worked on their front desk part-time for several years before attending Paul Barnes Beauty College at night and receiving her license in esthetics.
She has been an esthetician for over 30 years and has attended advanced training classes in Aveda, Hydropeptide, Edimi, Clarins, Rene Guinot, Murad and MD Formulations as well as specialty massage classes.
Her family was Army so they traveled extensively. She was born in Munich, Germany and her dad's most interesting posting was in Tripoli, Libya. She has been in Oklahoma City since graduating from the University of Oklahoma.
Favorite product: Aveda Nourish-Mint Lip Glazes. She wears them all the time in place of lipstick because they are so hydrating and have great color, especially Raspberry Tea, Cherry Blossom and Wineberry.
Favorite service to receive: Foot reflexology and/or Refresher Massage (shoulders and neck).
How do you spend your time off? Walking, working out, reading and running errands. Love going to Eureka Springs and Disneyworld!
What accomplishment are you most proud of? Seeing the potential in this old house and bringing it into being as a fabulous spa!
What What do you wish you could do? Walk up one of the nearly 'vertical' streets in Eureka Springs without feeling like passing out! There's a reason it's called Little Switzerland!
Richard is from Tecumseh, Oklahoma but has lived in southern California, Chicago and Milwaukee. He went to Paul Barnes Beauty College, graduating in 1976 and then for specialty training at Pivot Point in Chicago. He received further training in color techniques at L'Oreal in NYC and in Memphis, and in hair cutting with Jacque Dessange in NYC.
Favorite product: Aveda Professional Hair Color. It's the best because it is not petroleum-based, it lasts a long time, and the colors can be customized.
Favorite service to receive: Deep pressure massage for all those sore muscles!
How do you spend your time off? Keeping up with the flower gardens at Renaissance and walking my four dogs. (See preceding answer!)
What accomplishment are you most proud of? Being a self-taught gardener and winning a Beautification Award from OKC Beautiful.
Most interesting accomplishment? Hitchhiking across the US twice and across Europe.
What do you wish you could be or do? Vagabond half of the year, live in Eureka Springs the other half!
Fawn is no stranger to the beauty business with 8 years experience as a MakeUp Artist, having been originally trained by Clinique and Estee Lauder. She has been cheerfully greeting clients at Renaissance for 5 years and most recently has taken up a new challenge as an Esthetician, specializing in facials and waxing. She is an Edmond girl who hasn't traveled far from home, but she is 100% Persian!
Her favorite salon product: Edimi Deep Pore Cleanser for congested skin.
Her favorite service to receive: OPI Gel Nails so my nails stay shiny and last two weeks.
How do you spend your time off: Seeking new adventures, working out, having bonfires and cooking out with friends, shooting pool and curling up in a blanket with a glass of wine in sweatpants watching movies!
I wish I could have been a detective! Crime cases intrigue me
Leslie has been a massage therapist for 8 years, specializing in sports massage and deeper pressure massage. She is a local girl from Choctaw, Oklahoma who attended Central State Massage Academy.
Favorite salon product: Aveda's Thickening Tonic which is part of the Invati line. I love it because my hair feels thicker instantly for a really full look.
Favorite salon service to receive: OPI Gel Colour Nails. Her nails stay perfect even after a full day of massages!
How do you spend your time off? Singing and theater are her first loves. Leslie has a great voice and knows the first 2 lines of almost every song ever written. She would love to sing for a living!
She is most proud of singing on the Praise and Worship team at her church!
Sandy has been our Front Desk person on Monday for about 16 years. She and her husband are originally from Memphis, TN and have lived in Oklahoma City for 17 years with a short 4-year-stint in the California Bay Area.
It was in California that she and John developed their love for motorcycle riding. She claims she is a fair weather rider but a great motorcycle mama!
Sandy started out as a hairdresser in Memphis and that has helped her relate to clients who have hair questions about products and services.
Favorite product: Aveda Green Science Line, which is an anti-aging line great for dry skin!
Favorite service to receive: Manicures & pedicures. She comes about every other week.
She spends her downtime knitting and gardening and cooking and volunteering and shopping for Renaissance.
She is most proud of rearing her two beautiful girls.
In her next life she is coming back as a FBI agent or military police officer.
Summer has been an esthetician for six years, working at Renaissance right after getting her training at Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech and being licensed. She loves doing facials and has taken advanced Aveda skin care classes. She's a local Oklahoma girl born and bred!
Favorite salon product: Hydropeptide Solar Defense SPF 30 which is an absolute necessity with her fair skin. It self-adjusts to the color of her skin which makes it great when there's no time for foundation!
What is your favorite service to receive? A facial, of course! Not only are they relaxing to the max but also so beneficial! My skin feels and looks so much healthier and younger after enjoying one.
How do you spend your time off? Mothering three boys: a 4-year-old and twins, plus following her favorite sports teams, the Thunder and OU Sooner football.
What accomplishment are you most proud of? Finishing school and getting my license. I love my job!
What do you wish you could be or do? "I would love to travel all over the world but at long as my boys are happy and healthy, I'm okay with being here in Oklahoma City."
Here's a familiar face on our Front Desk! Anthony had been a full-time fixture here for 14 years as Salon Coordinator when he left to teach in the Moore Public Schools. He's back on Saturdays answering phones and booking appointments and making our clients feel great.
He was originally trained in Santa Monica, California in the spa industry and has since graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in Finance. He is an amazing numbers cruncher!
He was born and reared in Oklahoma City with stints in New Jersey and Los Angeles.
His very favorite product is the Aveda Caribbean Body Cream for very dry skin, a great body moisturizer with the fragrances of the northern Caribbean.
His favorite service? Foot reflexology and neck/shoulder massages!
He spends his time off with his two adorable kids and as a former soccer player/coach, he coaches high school players privately.
He is most proud of getting his Special Education certification and having 2 great children.
He would love to travel and live by the beach. Maybe Lake Hefner??
Chrissy is dual licensed as a nail tech and an esthetician. She received her training at Central State Beauty Academy and Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech. She was born in California and moved to Oklahoma in 1995 after living in several other states. Chrissy graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. She loves spending time with her husband, cooking and traveling.
"Julia is our rock star nail artist who specializes in acrylics and gels. She has been a nail tech for 9 years and has worked as an educator for a major nail company. Her favorite products: Aveda Blue Oil & Biofreeze, and her sore muscles love her for it!
What does she wish she could be? A Marvel comic book character!"
Favorite salon product: Biofreeze, which is a cooling analgesic gel for sore muscles. Theresa is dedicated to her workouts so she uses Biofreeze alot.
Favorite salon service to receive: Spray tanning, which is such a safe way to get a tan and protect your skin from sun exposure. As a fair-skinned blonde, she has to be especially careful because of the risk of skin cancer.
What is she most proud of? Being able to serve her country in the U.S. Navy, achieving 3rd class Petty Officer.
Favorite salon product: Farmhouse Fresh Whoopee Creme Shea Butter because it feels great, smells great and makes her feel great!
Favorite salon service to enjoy: A full body massage - any kind!
How does she spend her time off? Corralling two very active boys, which is why she needs the massage.
What would she like to be? Successful!
Sandra is our friendly part-time front desk receptionist who is a former longtime Chesapeake employee. The oil business’ loss is our gain!
She is a Disney-holic and an avid animal lover. And when she’s not traveling or spending time with all her kids and grandkids, she likes to settle in with a good book.
